Achievements
Here inside the Garfield Heights United Organization we take pride in our accomplishments and as a nonprofit organization we never ask for praise or a pat on the back. We enjoy giving back to the community when possible, and enjoy being able to say we started many "FIRST TIME" projects in the community. Below is a list of some of our accomplishments since our founding as a group in 2017 and a nonprofit in 2019.

1) Made several contributions to our K-9 Unit
2) Stuff the bus event annually, for both Garfield Hts. Schools & Brilliance school
3) Collected and Donated library books to the Brilliance school
4) Copartner with JNHouse to start the first of many coffee with first responders
5) Made Donation to the Ronald McDonald House (cases of hand wipes during covid)
6) Started the very first "Mayor for a day contest"
7) Donated Coffee/Donuts to our service department (winter event)
8) Donation to Zelly's home (Woman's shelter)
9) Kiwanis Club Donation (for their fundraiser)
10) Lottery scratch off ticket donation to our Senior center (for their fundraiser)
11) Donated bikes to a family in Garfield Heights also a $100 Giant Eagle gift card
12) Responsible for informing the administration in the city about a disability ramp that was needed in a location by our Mayors office
13) Group members volunteered their DJ services for community events, also for our Seniors during their senior events.
14) Started the very first community wide treasure hunt/ selfie contest
15) Donated McDonalds gift cards to our entire Police Department including our jailers and dispatch officers.
16) Participated in the Memorial Day parade, Veterans Day Celebration, summerfest, harvest fest, and the Holiday Tree lighting ceremony, also coffee with the Mayor
17) Currently working on a Holiday "adopt a family in the community program"
18) Donated and helped during the "Shop with a cop" program
19) Donated "home cooked" Meals to our Police Department for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and
Easter, (started in 2017 and still continues)
20) Providing Pies/muffins to Fire Department for Christmas
21) Provided stuffed animals to Police department to hand out when they arrive on a scene that involves children.
22) Did a Stuff the Bus event for Mound Elementary School in Slavic Village
23) Donated Bags of dog food for our K9 officers
24) Donated food towards our New Guinea Pig officers
25) Purchased $150 worth of tickets for shop with a cop program in 2023 (too many to list)
26) We took some seniors out to lunch at McDonalds on Rockside Road and gave away some instant lottery scratch off tickets for door prizes.
27) Hosted our very first Senior sweetest Day Dinner/Dance event in 2024. Handing out many gifts and door prizes with music provided by J&C Music Entertainment.
28) Sponsored a Christmas shopping spree for a family in Garfield Heights in 2024, and JNHouse Enterprise of McDonald's donated a gift card.
29) Started and hosted several town hall meetings under the Collova administration
